FAQS
MITZVAH LOGOS
Mitzvah logos are $300 (as of 1/1/26). They include 3 initial concepts, 5 rounds of revisions (with an additional 3 rounds for suites), and the final files will be sent as pdf, eps, jpg and png. If you need a variation without the date, just request that, no extra cost, although alternate variations of the logo are subject to additional charges.
After the logo is approved, an invoice will be sent. Upon payment, the final logo will be sent through Dropbox, where it can be shared with all your vendors.
My opinion--no more than a year before your mitzvah, although mitzvah planning can be super exciting. It's also hard to know exactly what your kid will want in over a year's time, and kids are constantly changing minds and interests. That being said, if you're confident in your theme or mitzvah vibe--great, let's start! But please note that if your theme changes after the concepts or final files are sent, there will be additional charges.
Let's talk! Call, email or complete the CONTACT FORM, and we'll discuss what you're looking for. Name, date, theme, colors, style...whatever you think I need to know. If I have questions, I'll ask.
Within 2-4 weeks (depending on current workload), I'll send you 3 concepts to see if I'm on the right track with any of them. If so, great--I'll make any edits or modifications you want. If I'm off track, no worries, tell me what you're thinking. Any element of the logo can be modified, from fonts to colors to layout. Pricing includes 5 rounds of revisions (with an additional 3 rounds for suites).

Let's start with colors in general. Because I know that your logo will be primarily printed instead of displayed on a screen, I design with CMYK and Pantone colors instead of with RGB colors. What does that mean?
RGB is made for screens (phones, computers, TVs) and uses light to create color.
CMYK is made for printing and uses ink on paper.
If a design is created in RGB, the colors can look brighter on screen than what a printer can actually reproduce. When it’s printed, those colors often change or look duller.
By designing in CMYK from the start, I’m making sure:
-
The colors you approve are print-accurate
-
There are no surprises when the final piece is printed
-
What you see in the proof is much closer to what you’ll get on paper
Neon colors look bright and “glowy” on screens because screens use light to create color.
Printers use ink on paper, not light.
Standard printing (CMYK) can only reflect light, so it has a limit on how bright a color can be.
Neon colors actually give off extra brightness, which regular printing inks can’t do.
Because of this:
-
Neon colors will always look duller in print
-
No CMYK printer can match true neon shades
To get real neon in print, special fluorescent inks are required, which are different from standard CMYK printing and usually cost more.
Sorry, no. Canva logos are usually made as images, not true logo files. That means they work fine for quick use, but they don’t hold up in real-world branding.
A professional logo is created as a vector, which means:
-
It can be resized to any size without losing quality
-
Colors can be precisely controlled for print and digital
-
It works across all formats (print, embroidery, signage, packaging, web)
Logos made in Canva often:
-
Lose quality when resized
-
Don’t print as expected
-
Can’t be separated into proper color formats
-
Are difficult or impossible for printers and vendors to use
Sorry, no. Canva logos are usually flat images, like photos. Once something is an image, the shapes and text are no longer editable pieces—they’re basically “baked together.”
I design with vector files, which are made of clean, editable shapes and paths that can be resized, recolored, or adjusted without losing quality.
Because of this:
-
A Canva logo often can’t be cleanly edited outside of Canva
-
Converting it usually means tracing or rebuilding it, not editing it
-
Fonts, spacing, and shapes may not match the original exactly
So instead of a simple conversion, the logo has to be recreated properly to work as a professional logo.
Sorry, no. AI-generated logos are usually delivered as images, not true logo files. They may look good at first, but they aren’t built for real-world use.
Because of this:
-
They can’t be resized cleanly without losing quality
-
Colors aren’t set up properly for print
-
Shapes and spacing can’t be precisely adjusted
-
Printers and vendors often can’t use them as-is
In addition, AI logos often:
-
Aren’t truly unique or legally clear to use
-
Can produce unpredictable results when changes are needed
-
Don’t come with a full, usable logo system
A professional logo is intentionally designed as a vector, with clean structure, controlled colors, and files that work everywhere.
If your theme changes after the initial concepts have been sent, there is a $100 charge to compensate for starting fresh. The initial concepts take the most time to design--each logo is custom and unless specifically requested, won't be the same as any of my previous mitzvah logos.
If your theme changes after final logo has been paid for and sent, the process starts over. Because we're starting from scratch, the new logo is $300 (as of 1/1/26).
If you have any design changes after the final logo has been paid for and sent, I charge for time editing/revising. I charge $100/hr and I'll tell you ahead of time how long it will take to make the edits.
Yes, and they can be so fun! Suites are now offered in different configurations -- 3, 5 or 8 total graphics. All suites include the main logo ($300 value) and various coordinating graphics. Visit SUITES for details & pricing.
All graphics are saved in multiple file formats--jpg, png, eps and pdf. The files are sent via a Dropbox folder so you can share them with all your vendors. I also include a stylesheet, which lists the fonts and PMS colors used in the designs.
Upon request, I can include a no-date version of the main logo and/or remove a solid background from a graphic.
I include different file types for different purposes:
JPG
-
Best for photos and things with lots of color.
-
Small file size.
-
Not great for text or logos because it can look blurry when enlarged.
-
White background only.
PNG
-
Best for images that need a transparent background (like logos placed on top of different colors).
-
Stays clearer than JPG but still not ideal for large printing.
-
Still a pixel-based image (can get blurry if enlarged too much).
EPS
-
A vector file—the most important format for real logo use.
-
Can be scaled to any size (business card to billboard) without losing quality.
-
Used by printers, sign shops, and designers.
-
Fully editable in professional design software.
PDF
-
Very flexible: can hold vector shapes (best for printing) or images.
-
Ideal for sharing proofs, printing materials, and high-quality designs.
-
Usually the easiest file for clients and printers to open.
BUSINESS LOGOS & WEBSITES
Business logos are $600 (as of 1/1/26). They include 3 initial concepts, 5 rounds of revisions, a favicon for websites, social media profile images, and (if requested) an alternate layout for letterhead and other printed materials. The final files will be sent as pdf, eps, jpg and png.
After the logo is approved, an invoice will be sent. Upon payment, the final logo will be sent through Dropbox, where it can be shared with all your vendors.
Business logos require more research than mitzvah logos. Fonts need to be available for commercial use and the design can't infringe upon other business logo designs. The final logo also includes a few other variations that the mitzvah logos don't include: a favicon for websites, social media profile images, and (if requested) an alternate layout for letterhead and other printed materials.
